Wedding speech examples

Best Man

Mother of the Bride or Groom
3-6 minutes“Today is full of big moments, but what I keep thinking about are the small ones: the ordinary memories that somehow led us all here, to this room, with this much love around us.”
Mother speeches are strongest when they use small, vivid memories and speak directly to what the couple mean to the family.
Wedding Guest
2-4 minutes“I will keep this short, because the best thing I can do today is say something true, raise a glass and let these two get back to being celebrated.”
Guest speeches should be concise. One memory, one compliment about the couple and one clear toast is usually enough.
Example endings
A strong ending does not need to be complicated. It should bring the focus back to the couple and make the toast easy for guests to join.
